DAY 1

Afternoon arrival on Cape Cod, "the bared and bended arm of Massachusetts." Your guide will meet the group at your property and review itinerary with you. Baggage service, festive welcome reception and dinner at a fine local restaurant.

After a delicious breakfast, we depart with our guide for a drive down scenic Route 6A to Sandwich, the oldest community on the Cape. We'll do a drive through tour of the village and tour Heritage Plantation; home to over 70 acres of gardens, museums and exhibits. Heritage features an antique carousel, a superb vintage auto collection, an old Shaker round barn and much more. Lunch, on own, at Seafood Sam's overlooking Cape Cod Canal. Next we motor to Hyannis and visit the seaside Kennedy Memorial and St. Francis Xavier; the Kennedy church. Free time to explore Main Street with its many shops and galleries. Shopping stop at a T & Sweatshirt outlet. Dinner and entertainment tonight.

DAY 3

Breakfast. Today your guide escorts you to Newport, RI, summer playground of the rich and famous. We'll do a scenic ocean drive to view the many mansions that make Newport famous. Our first stop will be Blithewold Mansion, Gardens and Arboretum. Blithewold was built in the early 1900's in the style of a 17th century English manor house. There are over 250 different kinds of trees and shrubs in the gardens including a 100' tall giant sequoia: the largest this side of the Rocky Mountains. We can walk through the rose gardens, visit the water and rock gardens and tour the 45 room mansion. Free time in the Brick Market area for lunch, on own and browsing. This afternoon we continue our garden tour at the Green Animals Topiary and historic Brayton House. The topiary garden was started by Thomas Brayton and is considered to be among the finest in the country. There are eighty sculptured trees and shrubs, including 21 animal shapes that give the country estate its name. A lobster dinner tops off the day.

Breakfast, baggage service and depart for home
