A 4 night, 5 day tour in New York’s
Finger Lakes
May 1-October 31, 2008
Day 1
Late afternoon
arrival at hotel. Tour guide assists with check in. Baggage service,
welcome reception. Dinner.
Day 2
Breakfast. Tour
guide escorts group to Canandaigua; the chosen place. We’ll tour
Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion...17
acres of plantings and statuary and visit the Finger Lakes Wine
Tasting Room. Lunch on own. After a shopping stop at the
Five Seasons Gift Shop, housed in log lodge, we’ll visit Red
Jacket Orchards in Geneva. A staff member will board our coach
for a trip through the orchard and overall view of the operation. Dinner.
Day 3
Breakfast. Our
guide will take us to the Seward House in Auburn; home of
William Seward…the leading figure in the purchase of Alaska. The house
was an important way station on the Underground Railway. Many Civil War
mementos. We’ll
next shop for bargains galore at Waterloo Premium Outlets;
where it’s always 25-65% off at more than 100 name brand stores.
Featuring Eddie Bauer, Gap, Polo Ralph Lauren, Timberland and more. Lunch
on own. This afternoon we’ll stop at Glenora Winery, on the
scenic shore of Seneca Lake, for a tour and tasting. A picturesque and
delicious dinner cruise aboard
Capt. Bill’s
caps our touring day.
Day 4
Breakfast. Our
guide takes us to the
Strong Museum in
Rochester. Their renown collections include miniatures, toys and the
world’s most comprehensive doll collection. Outstanding Chinese
cuisine for lunch. This afternoon we’ll tour
Letchworth Park, the Grand
Canyon of the East and
Mt. Morris Dam.
Dinner on own.
Day 5
Breakfast, baggage
service and departure. |
