DAY 1 |
|
Afternoon arrival on Cape Cod; "the bared and bended arm of
Massachusetts." Check in to an ocean front or deluxe Hyannis area hotel; subject to
availability. Tour guide assists with check in and gets acquainted with the group. Prompt baggage
service and festive welcome reception. Dinner at a popular Cape restaurant. |
|
DAY 2 |
|
Following breakfast, your guide escorts the group to the artsy fishing
community of
Provincetown. We'll go on a spectacular whale watch to observe these
Leviathans of the
deep. A professional naturalist will be on board to direct us through
one of the most
delightful experiences of our lives. Upon return to land, we'll have
time to explore the
many shops and galleries that line the harbor. Next we'll visit the
nautically themed
Provincetown Museum; featuring many displays of whaling memorabilia.
Enroute back
to our hotel, we'll stop at the National Seashore to learn about the
ecology of this unique
region. Time permitting, a stop will be made at the Christmas Tree Shop
- where it's
always 50% off. Dinner at an upscale restaurant. |
|
DAY 3 |
Breakfast, tour guide escorts group on a voyage to Nantucket; once the
center of
America's whaling industry. We can explore the many monuments and
museums built
to honor whaling captains and their brave crews, or just stroll the
cobblestone streets to enjoy the many fine shops, galleries and restaurants.
Dinner will be a seaman's delight; traditional New England lobster bake with all the tasty trimmings. |
|
DAY 4 |
|
Breakfast, baggage service and checkout. As we depart Cape Cod, we'll
remember not
only the beautiful beaches and scenery; but also leave with new-found
respect for the
"gentle giants" that inhabit our oceans. |
